Hi everyone! Today I am back with two cards that I created for a very special occasion: it is World Kindness Day and at Studio Katia we are celebrating with a special release and a blog hop!
Studio Katia is releasing the new exclusive Paws For Kindness stamp and die set, specifically designed to celebrate World Kindness Day.
Studio Katia will donate $10 from every sale of this special stamp bundle to Pets in the Classroom, because we truly believe that all children should have the opportunity to learn about the responsibilities, respect for life and being kind to one another.
There is also a video tutorial at the end of this post, in case you are interested
As part of the Paws for Kindness Blog Hop, I decided to create two cards featuring the two main images in the set and the same design. Both images are so cute and I couldn't pick just one!
I created the background for each card on some Neenah Desert Storm cardstock cut to the standard A2 size. I used my Studio Katia blending brushes, my Spectrum Noir Harmony Ink in the color Seal Brown and the Studio Katia Mini Paws stencil to create a fading pattern on my panel.
I die cut some brown cardstock with the Half Striped Cover die and glued it on top of my background. I used another die in the set to cut some Neenah Desert Storm cardstock and create the tag for my sentiment.
The images were stamped on Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock with Memento Dew Drops in Rich Cocoa and colored with Illustrator Markers.
I raised the images and the sentiment tag over some foam squares for some added interest.
I embellished the card with the Girl with some Lemon Burst Pearls and for the card with the boy I used Prismatic Sky Pearls instead.
I used a similar design for this second card, this time raising the sentiment tag a little higher on my card front and splitting the sentiment in two parts. One on the card front...
...and the other on the inside of the card.
