Easy Christmas Card with Colored Pencils | Studio Katia Friends of Winter

Hi everyone! Today I am here to share with you a cute Christmas card, that I created with the Studio Katia Friends of Winter stamp set! This set is currently sold out (sorry), but here is a super cute alternative . This set is in the clearance section and highly discounted at the moment. And once it's gone, it's gone. 😱)

Coming back to the card, I went for a very simple and clean design, but I added a couple of extra details to make it a little more special. There is also a video tutorial at the end of this post, if you are interested in watching the step by step process.

I started off the card by stamping the little elf, part of the Friends of Winter stamp set, on some pencil paper with black ink. I colored it with my ColourBlend pencils and then die cut it with the coordinating dies.

For the tag I used the Dotted Shaker Tag 1 and the Trimmings Borders dies . I added some color to the hill with Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean and for the sky I used Cracked Pistachio, Evergreen Bough, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch.
I created the effect of a snowfall with the Studio Katia Confetti Stencil and White Puff Embossing Powder by Wow, that I used also on the top of the hill. The powder puffs up when heat set, and it creates some really fun texture.

For my card base I used some red and white cardstock, that I die cut with the Darling Ribbon and Frames dies and the Dotted Patterns Set 3 dies , respectively. I raised the tag over some foam tape and added my heat embossed sentiment on top. I also die cut a red ribbon using one of the dies from the Darling Ribbon and Frames set and I used it to decorate the top of the tag.

As a finishing touch, I added some July Crystals around the tag.

Interactive Pull Tab Card | Impronte d'Autore Pinocchio Stamps

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a fun interactive card, created with dies by Lawn Fawn and the beautiful stamps from the Pinocchio Series by Impronte d'Autore.
The images I used are the from the sets Pinocchio e Mangiafuoco and Pinocchio e la Balena. These are clear stamp sets in Italian, but an English version is also available as unmounted rubber stamps. I personally think they are absolutely stunning!

I started by creating a scene using the Lawn Fawn Grassy Hillside Borders and the Puffy Clouds Dies. I added color to the scene elements with Distress Inks. I used Broken China and Tumbled Grass for the Sky and Crushed Olive and Peeled Paint for the hills.

I then stamped my images with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder, before coloring them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Once the coloring was done, I die cut them with the coordinating dies.

For the pull tab mechanism I used the Lawn Fawn Let's Toast Pull Tab Add-on die. It is built in such a way that when the recipient pull the tab, Jiminy Critcket shows up, catching Pinocchio being mischevious with Honest John and Gideon (hope I got the names right!).

Super fun, right?!
And that's it for today! I really Hope you enjoyed this quick post and today's inspiration for a fun, pull-tab interactive card!

As always thank you all so much for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful rest of the weekend!

Watercolor Northern Lights the Easy Way | LDRS Creative Otterly Lovable

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a card and a video sharing some tips on how to create an easy watercolor northern lights sky - it looks great and it's SO quick and easy to make!
The stamps I used today are from the LDRS Otterly Lovable stamp set (LDRS | SBKCOM) and yes, they are otterly lovable!

I started my card by creating the sky. I scribbled a piece of watercolor cardstock with some watercolor markers, creating a few green stripes to represent the northern lights. I then spritzed the panel with some water and left it aside to dry. Make sure to check the video out if you want to see this process in detail. Once the background was dry I added stars with some metallic watercolors.

I created a hill border with the Over the Hills die set (LDRS | SBKCOM) and added added some shading to them with the same watercolor markers.
I then die cut my scene elements with the Scalloped Circle Frame dies (LDRS | SBKCOM), that I also used to create a frame out of some black cardstock.

The images, from the Otterly Lovable stamp set, were stamped with LDRS Raven ink and colored with alcohol markers. Once I was done coloring, I die cut them with the coordinating dies (LDRS | SBKCOM).

I layered a panel of watercolor cardstock cut to 4 1/8" by 5 3/8"  with a sheet of black cardstock cut to the standard 4 1/4" by 5 1/2", adhered all the elements in place and stamped my sentiment with Raven ink by LDRS.

As I mentioned, there is a video tutorial sharing how to create this card. You can watch it down below or directly on my YouTube channel.

Moon-shaped Halloween Card | Waffle Flower Boo

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a quick and fun Halloween card, featuring the Waffle Flower Boo stamp set! I really love this set and I thought it would be fun to create a custom-shaped card, where the card base is the full moon and the adorable bear and his friends are just flying by.
The card is really quick to make, and I think it could be a fun idea for a lunch note, too. Make sure to check out the video at the end of this post, if you'd like to see a step by step tutorial.

I started by stamping the images from the Boo stamp set on Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock. I used Finesse Alcohol Proof Ink by Spectrum Noir and and I colored the images with my Illustrator markers. I also added some highlights with a white gel pen to make the images pop even more.

For the card base I die cut some more Neenah Solar White 11lb cardstock with one of the dies in the Tonic Studios Layering Circles set. I colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers, trying to give it a rounded and textured look.

I mounted it on a circular card base of the same size and I coated it with my Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Pen, to add a little extra sparkle. I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder and added it to my card front, and that finished off the card.

If you'd like to see the whole card making process in more detail, here is the video tutorial I created for you. And if you like it, make sure to let me know in the comments and to subscribe to my channel, if you haven't already! Thank you all so much for your support!

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a cute Halloween card featuring the Spooky Pumpkins Trimmings and the Meowy Halloween stamp sets! You will also find a video tutorial at the end this post, in case you are interested in watching the card making process!

I started by stamping and coloring my images with my Illustrator markers. After I was done coloring, I die cut the kitty with the Meowy Halloween dies and the pumpkins border with my scissors.

I then moved on to the sky. I blended Distress Inks over a Bristol Smooth Cardstock panel, die cut with the Dotted Patterns Set 3 dies. I used Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire, and created some stars with my Gansai Tambi Starry Colors.
I then used the Halloween Trimmings Dies to die cut the sentiment out of the sky panel.

I die cut some black cardstock using the Darling Ribbon and frames dies and glued everything together. I created some spiderwebs with the Spider Web Shaker die and embellished the card with some Exotic Onyx Pearls. As a finishing touch I added some sparkle with a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay pen and some white highlights with a white gel pen.

Clean and Simple Friendship Card feat My Favorite Things Squirrels | MFT Card Design Superstar 2019 - CAS Genius

Hey everyone! Today I am back to share with you the card I created for the MFT Card Design Superstar 2019 challenge, in the CAS Genius category. Ok, genius might be a bit of an overstatement...as a matter of fact, CAS cards are a real challenge for me...I can never stop!
I tried very hard not to keep adding elements to this one and, while it might not be genius, it is certainly CAS. We gotta cherish the small victories!

The stamp set I used for this card is the MFT Squirrels...so so cute, like all the Birdie Brown sets! I stamped the images on Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Spectrum Noir ink in the color Pebble and I colored them with my Illustrator Markers.

I always end up falling back on scene cards, but for this one I just wanted a hint of a scene, and that's why the sky doesn't extend very far from the images and fades into white.
I also added some white gel pen details to bring the focus on the squirrel a little bit more.

To finish off the card, I trimmed the panel to 4 1/8 by 5 3/8 and I glued it to my A2 card base.
And that's it for today! In case you missed it, I also entered the Coloring Virtuoso category with this card.
Fingers crossed for everyone who entered and have a great day to you all!

I added some highghts with a white gel pen.

I put the masks back on and I blended Distress Inks in Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch on the edges on the panel. I used some blending brushes to get a nice and soft result. I added some sparkles with my FSJ Sparkle Silk.
