Sunset Scene with Alcohol Markers | My Favorite Things Magical Dragons | Card Design Superstar - Coloring Virtuoso

Hi everyone! Today I am back with something entirely new for me - a scene card created with alcohol markers only...I love scene cards and I have shown many here and on my YouTube channel, but I have never attempted anything like this. It was definitely a challenge and something I would like to keep practicing, at and I would like to hear your feedback on this!

I filmed a video too for this card and I decided to do something a little different and fun this time! I will upload the video to my YouTube channel if my Instagram post for this card reaches 600 likes! And if the likes go up to 1000 I will have a giveaway, too! I can't wait to share the tutorial with you, so please help me out by liking the post and sharing it on your feed or in your stories! Let's make this happen!

Coming back to the card, I was inspired by the My Favorite Things Card Design Superstar contest. I really love this challenge: I have joined it in the past two years and it has always been a great push for me to try new techniques and to improve my coloring! I will add a link to the cards I made for the past editions of the Coloring Virtuoso challenge at the end of this post, in case you are interested!

For my card today I used the My Favorite Thinks Magical Dragons and the Up in the Air stamp sets, and I decided to go for some no-line coloring. I stamped the images with MFT Grout Gray Ink on some Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock and started coloring the images and the scene with my Illustrator Markers by Spectrum Noir.

I actually started by first coloring the scene in the bacgkround, and then I moved on to the images. I tried to render a little bit of water ripples on the sea, where I also added some reflections from the sun. The images in the foreground are back-lit by the sun, and that's why I added a bit of a rim light on the edges of their bodies. The rest of the bodies are in shadow, as they face away from the sun (a.k.a. our light source).
I also used my ColourBlend Pencils to add more depth to the shadows and more texture to the wings and the ears of the dragons.

I then drew in a little string that ties the larger dragon to the hot air balloon...I think it is SO cute that the tiny dragon is too small to fly and his friend is right there to help him. πŸ’“
To finish off the scene, I added some highlights with a white Sakura Gelly Roll pen.

I used the same gel pen also to add some details to the water, to make it look as if it was sparkling.

I matted the scene with some black cardstock and I added a sentiment from the Up in the Air stamp set. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder and trimmed the cardstock into a thin sentiment strip.

And that's my card for today and my entry for the MFT Card Design Superstar challenge in the Coloring Virtuoso category.

As always thank you all very much for stopping by and have a great day!

Spectember day 17 - Build a Scene | Halloween Card feat MFT Spooktacular Friends

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a card I made for day 17 of Spectember. If you haven't heard of it yet, Spectember is a month long celebration of all things Spectrum Noir. There are daily prompts for your creations, discounts, and prizes, too! Make sure to join the Spectrum Noir Connoisseurs Facebook group and share your projects with the hashtag #spectember! You might also want to check out this post for more details.

Today's prompt is Build a Scene (my favorite type of card!) and I just had to create a Halloween Card with the My Favorite Things Spooktacular Friends stamp set! I stamped the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Proof Black ink and colored them with my Spectrum Noir Original markers. I used my markers to color the moon, too.

I used the MFT Snow Drifts Cover-Up Die-Namics to die cut some black cardstock and create the hills. I used the same die to cut some Bristol Smooth cardstock, over which I bleded Distress Inks to add color to the hills and the sky. I used my Gansai Tambi Starry Colors to add some shimmery stars to the sky.

I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder and used the Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-namics to cut a banner around it. I finished off the card by glueing everything to an orange panel, that I die cut with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables.

And that's my card for today! I really hope you enjoyed today's inspiration for a cute Halloween card, and I hope you will join the Spectember fun in the Spectrum Noir Connoisseurs Facebook group!

Have a spooktacular day everyone!

For my card today I used the new The Penguin Waddle stamp set. I love how sweet this set is and, because it is a rather large, you really just need to stamp it, color it and add a sentiment! And your card is done!

For my coloring today I used my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and I added some details with a white gel pen. Make sure to check out the video down below to watch the coloring process and for a list of the markers I used.

After coloring the images, I moved on and started working on the background. I used my Distress Oxides in Blueprint Sketch and Shaded Lilac and I blended them over some Bristol Smooth cardstock. I added some droplets with my Perfect Pearls tocreate more interest and add some shimmer (it is a Christmas card, after all!).
For the die cut sentiment I used one of the dies in the the coordinating set to the The Penguin's Waddle stamps - I love the greeting and the font is really great!

To decorate the card front a little more, I used the smaller images in the set (the fish and the fish bowl) and turned them into cute Christmas ornaments hanging from the top of my card! Aren't they adorable?! This set is definitely one of my favorites from the release!

I added some Glossy Accents to the beaks of the penguins and that finished off the card.

No Line Coloring with Illustrator Alcohol Markers | Waffle Flower Bear Hugs

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a card I created with the new Bear Hugs stamp set by Waffle Flower. I fell in love with this set the minute I saw it, and I knew it was going to be mine! I took the chance to snatch a few other goodies, I shared a mini haul on my Instagram stories a few days ago.

Speaking of hauls, this set is now on sale on Scrapbook.com together with many more cardmaking goodies! You can check out all the sales on this page, if you are interested in a little bit of crafty shopping!

For this card I knew I wanted to create a cozy look, with warm fall colors. To emphasize this mood even more, I decided to do some no-line coloring using InkOn 3 Fadeout Ink and my Illustrator Markers. I have a video tutorial at the end of this post, where I share all the details about my coloring!

For the card background I did some ink blending with Distress Oxides in Ground Espresso, Vintage Photo and Antique Linen. I used my blending brushes by Scrapbook.com to get a nice and soft blend.

To finish off the card I used some matte gold sequins by Studio Katia, which I felt added a nice touch to the card, without stealing attention from the focal image.

If you like this project and would like to see the step-by-step card making and coloring process, you can watch the video down below! And if you would like to support my channel, don't forget to like, comment, share and subscribe! Thank you so much!

Handmade Tag Inspiration | ModaScrap Hanging Tags

Hi everyone! Today I am back with three different tags I created with products from the upcoming ModaScrap release! There will be a live presentation of Facebook of all the new products on September 11th at 7PM CEST. Make sure to follow ModaScrap on Facebook and to tune in on the day of the live to see the full reveal! (Spoiler alert: the new release is amazing!)

For today's post I used the new Hanging Tags together with the Funny Birdie and Funny Cat stamp sets. These are really fun and great for quick projects, as the don't require any coloring.
There is also video tutorial included in this post, showing how the step by step process to create these tags. Don't forget to check it out and to subscribe to the my channel for more inspiration!

The first tag was created with the Happy Travels 6x6" paper pad. I started by die cutting the base with the largest of the Hanging Tags and I added some white droplets with my Fluffy in the color Old Linen.

For the central rectangle I used the medium sized tag (the set comes with three sizes) and die cut two more designs from the ModaScrap Happy Travels 6x6" paper pad. I created the hill with the help of the ModaScrap Dashing Circles.

I then stamped the images from the Funny Birdie I used Versafine Onyx Black ink on ModaScrap Woodstock White paper and cut them with my scissors.

I glued everything together and, as a last step, I die cut some more paper from the ModaScrap Happy Travels paper pad and created the little hanger for my tag (how cute!).

For the second tag I used a more muted palette. I used kraft cardstock by ModaScrap for the base, and then combined the Hanging Tags and the Dashing Circles to die cut some Woodstock Betulla cardstock. This created three different die cuts, that will be the three focal points for this tag.

To add some more detail to the base, I applied some Fluffy in the color Old Linen to the tag base using the ModaScrap Triangles stencil.
I left the Fluffy to dry and stamped some images and sentiments from the Funny Cat stamp set.

I used Memento Dew Drops in Rich Cocoa on ModaScrap Woodstock White paper and I cut all the images with my scissors. I finished off the tag by glueing all the elements together.

For the third and final tag, I combined the he Funny Birdie and Funny Cat stamp sets and created a fall scene.
Like I did for the first tag, I used the Hanging Tags together with the Dashing Circles to create a hill. I used the same dies to create the moon as well.

I the used my Distress Inks to add color to all the scene elements. For the sky I used Seedless Preserves, Fired Brick and Carved Pumpkin, for the grass I used Bundled Sage, Peeled Paint and Forest Moss, and for the Moon I used Squeezed Lemonade and Scattered Straw. I added stars to the sky using my Fluffy in the color Sunshine.

For this tag, I used the Funny Alphabet dies to make my own custom sentiment. I die cut the letters out of some black cardstock and glued everything to the tag base.

As I mentioned, there is a video tutorial too, showing how to create these fun and easy tags! You can watch it down below or directly on my YouTube channel!

And that's it for today! I really hope you enjoyed today's inspiration and a preview of some of the new ModaScrap products!
Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!
