Floral Tag Duo | ModaScrap Magnolia Stamps and Cardstock

Hi everyone! It's Laura here, and today I am back with two easy floral tags I created with the new Magnolia stamps and papers.

To start off, I cut the base of my tags using the main die in the ModaScrap Surprise Tag dies. I cut one tag out of the Tommy Magnolia 30x30" double sided papers, and the other from the Pastel Grey  30x30" double sided papers.

I then created some decorative elements for my tags using again dies from the Tag Surprise set, and the same papers as above. To add some extra interest, I embellished the tags with the ModaScrap Gelly and the Triangles stencil.

For the images I used the Magnolia stamp from the ModaScrap Tommy Art Line. I stamped them on Sirio White Cardstock and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I then die cut them with the coordinating dies.

I also used the Magnolia dies to cut some vellum, which I coated with some Gelly to add some subtle shine. For the sentiment I cut some black cardstock with some of the dies in the Surprise Tag set, and I assembled the tags.

I lined the inside of the tags with one more die cut from the Surprise Tag dies, and that's where the personal message would go. As a final step, I threaded some white embroidery floss through the eyelet of the tag.

And that's my project for today! There is also a video tutorial for you, showing how to create these handmade surprise tags with the ModaScrap Magnolia stamps and papers. Make sure to check it out and to subscribe to the my channel for more inspiration!

Spellbinders Jane Davenport NEW Artomology + Making Faces Blog Hop and Giveaway

Hi everyone! Today I am really thrilled to be back to share with you a card I created for the Spellbinders New Collections inspiration, featuring the Making Faces and the New Artomology Collections by Jane Davenport!

There is plenty of inspiration and giveaways too, and I will tell you more about that at the end of this post - so, stay tuned!

For my card today I used the Mermaids Forever and the Show Ponies Glimmer Hot Foil Plates. I used the Mermaids Forever Plate to dry emboss a sheet of FSJ Whip Cream cardstock. I then foiled the sea horses with silver foil and die cut them with the coordinating dies.

I die cut the embossed panel with the Lucky Clouds dies and added color to it with the Make a Splash Shimmer Pastel set. I sprinkled some FSJ sparkle silk on top to add even more shimmer.

I foiled the sentiment, which was part of a previous Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month, with silver foil and then colored it with the pink color in the Fishcoteque Shimmer Pastel set.

I mounted everything on a top-folding A2 card base and added some Nuvo Drops in White Blizzard for a finishing touch.

And now it's time to talk about the hop!

C.A.S.E. the Creator - Summer Card feat My Favorite Things Friends with Fins

Hi everyone! Today I am back with an ocean themed card that I created as part of a fun event organized between crafty friends on Facebook. The event is called C.A.S.E the Creator, and each participant is sharing a project inspired by someone in the group.

In my case, the inspiration came from this card by Jayma Malme. I used the same layout, giving my own spin on it.
The stamp set I used is the MFT Friends with Fins stamp set. I stamped the whale with Inkon3 FadeOut ink, because I wanted to do some no-line coloring with my Zig Clean color real brush markers.

For the circular panel I used dies by Tonic Studios and Bristol Smooth Cardstock by Strathmore (I used this cardstock for all the elements on the card).
I added color to the panel with Distress Inks in Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio, using the ink smooshing technique.
To add some shine to the piece, I coated it with the new Gelly by ModaScrap.

I then used the Blueprints 31 Die-Namics to cut some Bristol Smooth Cardstock. I stamped the Wavy Coloring Book Background by MFT on the panel, using MFT's Grout Gray ink, for a subtle impression. It doesn't show up a whole lot in the pictures, but in real life it adds a really nice touch to the card.

For the vertical strip I blended Distress Inks in Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire. I added water droplets and some hearts from the Friends with Fins, that I stamped with Lawn Fawn Yeti white pigment ink.

For the background I used the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables and Distress Ink in Black Soot. As a finishing touch, I added some Studio Katia Majestico Confetti, which tie in really nicely with the sparkle from the Gelly!

And that's it for today! You can check out Jayma's work on her blog, YouTube channel and Instagram. As always, thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Emboss Resist Watercolor with Distress Inks | Studio Katia Floral Garden

Hi everyone! Today I am back with an elegant card I created with the new Studio Katia Floral Garden set and the emboss resist watercolor technique. This set is part of the latest Studio Katia release - if you haven't checked it out yet, you can have a look at it here. It's truly fabulous!

To start off the card I heat embossed the Floral Garden image with gold embossing powder by WOW!. I then painted the images with Distress Inks. To see the painting process in more detail, make sure to watch the video at the end of this post.

Once my painting was ready and completely dry, I die cut it with the Dotted Patterns Set 3 dies. I then layered it over some dark grey cardstock, that I had die cut with the Darling Ribbon & Frames Dies.

For the sentiment I used greetings in the Kind Bouquet stamp set. The cardstock I used is the same gray that I have on the card base, and I heat embossed the word kindness in gold, and the word matters in white.

I glued everything to my card base, and added some Sparkling Crystals as a finishing touch.
And here you can see all the shine around these gorgeous florals!

As I mentioned, I uploaded a video tutorial for you, showing how I created this elegant card using the Studio Katia Floral Garden stamp set. And don't forget to subscribe for more cardmaking inspiration!

Spellbinders and FSJ Hello Summer Blog Hop + Giveaways

Hi everyone! Today I am joining a fun blog hop to celebrate the Spellbinders + FSJ Hello Summer collection! This release is full of really beautiful products, and you can check them all out here.

The hop today is full of wonderful inspiration, and there is a GC to be won. More details at the end of this post, but for now, let's have a look at the cards I created.

For my first card I used the Dream Seeker and the Windy Sky stamp sets.
I created my background with the FSJ Watermelon Fusion and Catalina Splash Liquid Colors. I added a few drops from both on a make up sponge, and used that to ink up the Windy Sky rubber stamp. I then stamped the image on some white cardstock, and obtained this fun and colorful background.

v
All the images come from the Dream Seeker stamp set. I stamped them with FSJ Black Licorice ink and I colored the whale with Spectrum Noir Markers. I added some detail with a white gel pen and some sparkle with a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay pen.

To create the front panel, I die cut some white cardstock with the Spellbinders Lucky Clouds and the FSJ Circle Around dies. I mounted everything on a black base, cut at 4.25 by 5.5".

I used the FSJ Sparkle Silk to add some shimmery droplets to my card front, and here you can see all the shine. And in person it is even more beautiful!

For card number two I used the Sparkle Mermaid Tail die, the beautiful Splash Zone stencil and the Be Different stamp.

I added color to the mermaid's tail again using the FSJ liquid colors and a make up sponge. I then added sparkle to the base die cut by applying FSJ Sparkle Silk with a sponge, and some white gel pen details to the top die cut.

For the card background I cut some white cardstock with the Spellbinders Lucky Clouds dies, and blended FSJ ink in Turbo Teal through the Splash Zone stencil. I sprinkled some FSJ Sparkle Silk on the background, to add shimmer to it.

The sentiment stamp comes from the Be Different stamp set, and was stamped with FSJ Black Licorice ink. The mermaid's tail is raised over one layer of foam tape.

As a finishing touch I added some Nuvo Drops in Morning Dew. These, when dry, look like water droplets, and I put them around the mermaid's tail, as I wanted to give the impression that these were splashes created by tail coming out of the water.

And here is a close up picture, showing all the sparkle!

And now it's time to talk about giveaways!

To celebrate this release, Spellbinders + FSJ are giving away a $50 gift certificate to one lucky blog reader – selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop. Four Seasons Card Series - Mama Elephant Me and My Dragon - Fall

Hi everyone! Today I am back with the fourth and final card in my mini season, featuring the Mama Elephant Me and My Dragon stamp sets. If you would like to see the other cards I made, you can find them here:

Winter Card
Spring Card
Summer Card

For today's card, which is a fall scene card, I paired the Mama Elephant Me and My Dragon set with the Little Boo Agenda. I stamped the images with Scrapbook.com Premium Hybrid Black ink on Neenah Solar White 100lb cardstock and colored them with Spectrum Noir Markers. I have a color reference chart for you, listing all the markers I used. Make sure to pin it so you can always come back to it, if you need to

All the panels on my were first cut with the Cloud Nine dies. For the mountains and the border in the front I used the Kingdom Trio dies, and for the hills I used the Landscape Trio dies. All the panels were cut from Bristol Smooth cardstock, as this is my cardstock of choice to use with Distress Oxides.

On the sky I blended Seedless Preserves, Fired Brick, Wild Honey and Mustard Seed.
For the mountains I used Frayed Burlap, Peeled Paint and Forest Moss. On the hills I blended Peeled Paint and Crushed Olive, and on the foremost panel I used Crushed Olive and Shabby Shutters.
Having lighter colors in the foreground and darker ones on the background increases the sense of deptht in the scene.

For the sentiment I used the Hello Friend Script Die, and I layered some Bristol Smooth cardstock with some fun foam to create a dimensional die cut.
The grassy border, the dragon and the ghost are raised over one layer of foam tape, while the rest is glued flat on my top-folding A2 card base.

And that's it for today! I really hope you liked the card and enjoyed this mini series - I had lots of fun creating each and every card with these cute dragons by Mama Elephant, and would love to know which card was your favorite!

Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!
