One Kit Five Cards feat Spellbinders January 2019 Card Kit of the Month

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a one kit 5 cards post featuring the January 2019 Spellbinders Card Kit of the Month! This month's kit is called You're My Type, and is all about love and Valentine's day cards!
The kit is packed full of amazing goodies! I had lots of fun creating with it, and still have plenty of supplies to go.
All the cards you will see in today's post will only feature supplies in the kit. It really has everything you need, including card bases, envelopes, double sided adhesive and foam squares!
I have uploaded an unboxing video on my YouTube channel, you can watch it down below. And if you haven't yet, you might consider subscribing to my channel for more cardmaking and papercrafting tutorials!

And now let's have a look at the cards I created with the kit.

For my first card I used some die cut shapes and three of the patterned papers from the You're My Type 6x6" paper pad which is included in the kit. I cut the main panel to 4 by 5 1/4 inches and glued it on my card base. I love that the kit includes both card bases and envelopes!

I created a little scene and grounded my elements with two strips of patterned paper. To add more interest to my card I glued some enamel dots.

And that finished card number one! Quick and easy, but so cute!

For card number two I die cut some colored cardstock with the adorable typrewriter die, part of this month's kit. The dies cut the typewriter and also a sheet of paper. I die cut the latter  rom white cardstock and stamped one on the sentiments from the You're my Type stamp set included in the kit.

I then cut a strip of patterned paper, which I adhered to one of the white card bases. I trimmed it at an angle for some extra interest. I layered the typewriter over some die cut shapes (I thought the letter was just perfect for this card!).
For some finishing touches I added some sequins and some enamel dots.

And that is card number two - absolutely charming with that pretty typewriter die cut!

The rectangle die which is meant to be a sheet to go with the typewriter can also be used to create windows in your cards. This is exactly what I did for card number three. I layered some light blue cardstock and some patterned paper, and cut a window on the lower third of the panel. The size of the panel is again 4 by 5 1/4 inches.

I then used the floral dies in the kit to die cut some more colored cardstock, and created a cute arrangement that I glued in the window. For my sentiment I used one of the die cut shapes present in the kit. That pair of swallows on the top left felt like the perfect accent for this card!

And here we are done with card number three as well. It does have quite a romantic feel, doesn't it?

For car number four I used some of the larger die cut shapes. I loved the camera and the sunglasses and I had to feature them in one of my cards.

I layered two of the patterned papers with the solid pink cardstock in the kit, and glued them on one of the white card bases. The three panels measure respectively 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches, 4 by 5 1/4 inches and 3 3/4 by 5 inches. I raised the die cuts on foam squares and used the heart shaped 3D stickers as extra details.

And this is card number four! I just love the fun look of it, it is one of my favorites!

For my fifth and final card I used the adorable 3D sticker with the bear - he is so cute! I created a focal panel for him by layering some light blue cardstock with the striped pattern in the You're My Type Paper Pad.

For the background of my card I layered again some solid cardstock and some patterned paper - this time I used pink card and a colorful patterned.
I added the All you Need is Love die cut shape as my sentiment, and one of the die cut hearts behind the focal panel. In order to balance the design I added a 3D heart on the top left of the card.
