Winter Vellum Shaker card feat Studio Katia Holiday Village

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a winter vellum shaker card, created with the beautiful Holiday Village stamp set for the Studio Katia blog. As a first step I stamped my images on Bristol Smooth cardstock and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I then cut them with the coordinating dies.

I then created some hills with the Trimmings Borders and added some shading with Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass. To add some interest and some sparkle I coated the hills and the snow on the houses with my Spectrum Noir clear overlay pen. I really love the look of glitter on a winter scene!

For my shaker front I cut some white cardstock using dies from the Darling Ribbon and Frames set and the Dotted Scallop Oblong set. For the shaker background I did some ink blending with Distress Inks in Worn Lipstick, Shaded Lilac and Broken China. The embellishments I used to fill in the shaker are the Majestic Sequin Mix, the Crystal Clear Sequin Mix, the Clear Dust Seed Beads and the Iridescent Dust Seed Beads.

For the shaker window I used vellum instead of acetate. I wanted to go for a different look, and I think vellum works really well for this winter scene, as it gives a bit of a frosty look to it. I stamped the sentiment from the Holiday Village set using Distress Oxide in Stormy Sky and, for a finishing touch, I glued a few Iridescent Ice Flakes to the card front.

And that’s it for today! I really hope you enjoyed this post, and I hope I inspired you to create with the lovely Holiday Village stamp set!
Thank you all so much for stopping by , and have a great day!

Heffy Doodle October Release + Blog Hop + Giveaway!

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a post and two cards I created for the Heffy Doodle October Release Blog Hop! I am absolutely in love with this release, and I am really thrilled to be joining the hop with so many other talented crafters!

If you haven’t yet, you can take a look at all the wonderful products that have been released this month by visiting this link!
And just a little FYI - there is an awesome promotion on the Heffy Doodle Store! If you place any order over 30£ (before shipping and after discounts) you will receive a free dinky dinos stamp set! And if you spend over 45£ you will get the dies too! Pretty nice, uh? :)

But now let’s have a look at the cards I created. For the first one I used images from the Veggie Patch stamp set, which is full of fun stamps and really great punny sentiments! I stamped them on Bristol Smooth Cardstock by Strathmore and colored them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I then cut them all with the coordinating dies.

For the background of my card I cut some brown cardstock with two dies from the Heffy Doodle Clover Frames set. I used the super fun Basket Case stencil and Distress Oxide in Walnut stain to add a subtle pattern to it. To back my window frame I used some Lawn Fawn patterned paper.
For the sentiment I used one of the sayings in the Veggie Patch stamp set, and I stamped it on some vanilla cardstock with Distress Oxide in Walnut Stain. I then used the Stitched Strips of ease (such a great product) to cut a banner around it.

I then glued everything to a white top-folding A2 card base. I raised the sentiment strip and some of the veggies on foam tape, to create interest and dimension.  I also used two dies in the coordinating set to the Veggie Patch stamp set to cut a few hearts from red cardstock. I raised them on some foam tape and added some shimmer to them with my Clear Overlay Pen. I then used a white gel pen to add highlights to all the images.

And that's card number one! For card number two I used the Dinky Dinos stamps and coordinating dies,  the Whatcha Saying Now stamps and coordinating dies, and the Happy Heffy Cuts from the new release. I also used the previously released Clover Frames Dies and Strips of Ease.

As a first step, I stamped the images from the Dinky Dinos set on some Bristol Smooth cardstock and I colored them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I then die cut them with the coordinating dies.

I used the Clover Frame Dies to cut some rainbow patterned paper by Lawn Fawn and some black cardstock. To back the window on the black panel I ink blended Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn and Salty Ocean on some more Bristol Smooth cardstock.

I then created a speech bubble using the Whatcha Saying now stamps and coordinating dies, and composed my little scene in the window of my black cardstock panel. To complete the sentiment I cut the word happy out of some mint cardstock using the Happy Heffy Cuts. I then stamped the word birthday from the Dinky Dinos stamp set with Distress Oxide in Cracked Pistachio on some white cardstock. I cut it into a thin strip using the Strips of Ease dies.

For some finishing touches I added white highlights with a gel pen and a few crystals by Studio Katia. And that finished card number two!

And now it’s time for a giveaway! Heffy Doodle is giving away a 50£ gift certificate to one lucky winner! What you need to do is to comment at each stop in the hop. Comments will close on October 31st, and the winner will be announced on the Heffy Doodle blog on November 1st.
Here’s the lineup!

But don’t go yet, there is more! You can use an exclusive coupon code to get 15% off on your order on the Heffy Doodle store! The code expires on October 28, and is only valid in Heffy Doodle products (not valid for vouchers or items in the Craft Essentials category). Here it is 58YbSx3L
And that’s it for today! I really hope you enjoyed this post and liked my cards!
I will be back soon with another fun project, and,in the meantime, I wish you all a great day!

Mirrored Stamping Technique - Save the Crafty YouTuber Video Hop + Giveaways!

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a card and a video, for day 4 of the Save the Crafty YouTuber video hop!

If you haven’t heard of it yet, this is a 5 days long event in which crafters from different skill levels share inspiration on YouTube! This is a way for you to discover new creators, and for those creators to work towards achieving their monetization goals. The event is sponsored by lots of generous companies, so there are giveaways at each stop in the hop! More on that later, but for now let’s take a look at today’s card.

The stamp sets I used are the Heffy Doodle Beary Big Heart stamp set, the Heffy Doodle Unbearable Without You stamp set, and the My Favorite Things Mirror Image stamp set. The latter is basically a solid block of photopolimer, and is what will help us achieve a mirrored version of any image.

For my stamping I used My Favorite Things Black Licorice Ink and my Mini MISTI, and for the coloring I used Spectrum Noir markers.

For the background scene I cut some colored cardstock using the Heffy Doodle Clover Frame Dies and the My Favorite Things Grassy Fields Die-Namics. To add interest to the sky I stamped some clouds with one of the stamps in the Heffy Doodle Unbearable Without You stamp set and Lawn Fawn Yeti ink. For the card base I used some patterned paper from the Doodlebug Hello Sunshine 6x6” paper pad.

And here is the video I created for this card! If you enjoy it, you can give it a thumbs up and become a subscriber, if you aren’t already! And if you want to enter the giveaways, all you have to do is to leave a comment on my YouTube channel! Besides the prizes offered by the sponsors, I am hosting one additional giveaway for a 25$/€/£ to a store of the winner’s choice! The winner will be selected from the comments on my video, so make sure you let me know what you thought about my tutorial!

And that’s it for today! Many thanks to Justine Hovey and to all the amazing sponsors for organizing and supporting this initiative! I hope you guys will find new creators to follow, and, if you are new here, welcome! I hope you’ll stick around! :)

Thank you all so much for stopping by, and have a great day!

Halloween 2018 Card Series | Cute card feat C.C. Designs

Hi everyone! TodayI am back with a card and a video I made for the C.C. Designs blog, using the C.C. Designs Monster Bash stamp set.
As a first step I stamped my images on Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock with My Favorite Ink Black Licorice Hybrid Ink. I then colored them with my Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut them with my scissors.

Next up I started working on my background. I used my Gansai Tambi watercolors to create a night sky on a watercolor cardstock panel, and I cut the panel with a circular die by Tonic Studios.
I then used the Lawn Fawn Spooky Fence Border to cut some black cardstock. I turned it into glittery cardstock by doing some heat embossing with Nuvo Shimmering Pearl embossing powder.

I cut some white cardstock to an A2 size using the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables, and I cut a circular opening of the same size as my night sky die cut.
I used the Halloween Dies by C.C. Designs to cut two spiderwebs, and I added some color to them with the My Favorite Things Grout Gray Hybrid Ink. I used that same ink and the smaller images in the C.C. Designs Haunted House stamp set to create my own subtle custom patterned paper.
The result is not very visible in the pictures, but in real life it adds interest to the backround, without stealing attention from the elements in the foreground.

For the sentiment, I die cut some letters out of black cardstock using the C.C. Designs Baggie and Tag die, and formed the word BOO. To finish off the card I added some details with my Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Pen, Glossy Accents and a white gel pen.

I also filmed a video for this card, you can watch it down below! And, if you liked it, you can click the button below to subscribe to my channel! Thank you for your support!

And that's it for today! I really hope you liked the card and enjoyed the video!
I will be back soon with another fun project, and, in the meantime, I wish you all a great day!

Masculine Card with No Coloring | SugarPea Designs Mix it Up Challenge

Hi everyone! Today I want to share with you this card I made for the current Mix it Up challenge on the SugarPea Designs blog!

For my card today I followed both the sketch and the colors in the inspiration photo, and I created a card with no coloring, and with mostly die-cuts.

For the card base I cut some white cardstock to an A2 size using the SugarPea Designs Card Front Element Builder Dies. I created my own subtle patterned paper by repeatedly stamping one of the stars in the Seeing Stars Stamp Set with some light grey ink.

For the circular frame I die cut some more white cardstock using two dies from the Zig Zag Stitched Circles dies. I then used the Stacked Stars to cut lots of stars of different sizes, and in colors matching the ones in the inspiration photo of the challenge.
I raised the circular frame over the card base with some fun foam, and adhered the stars all around it.

I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder over some black cardstock, and, for some finishing details, I added some Nuvo Drops in Morning Dew.

And that's my card for today!  Make sure to visit the SugarPea designs blog and to enter your projects  featuring SDP products for your chance to win 50$ to the SugarPea store!
Thank you so much for stopping by, and have a great day!

September 2018 Cardmaking Haul | Heffy Doodle, Lawn Fawn, My Favorite Things, SugarPea Designs

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a haul video for September 2018. September is my birthday month, so I was spoiled by my husband and my family with lots of amazing crafty goodies!
You can watch the haul here :D

...and now, a question for you!

In the video I also asked you how you would like if I introduced a new feature. In each haul video, I would like to also show you the cards I made with products shown in the previous haul. I think it is a nice way to show you those products in action, and also for me to keep track of what I buy and what I use :) What do you think? I could also do a separate video, if you prefer :)

For this month I could only show you a couple of cards in the video itself. I am moving from Germany to England in two weeks, so I have already packed my cards. So I thought this time around I will show you pictures of those cards here, with links to the posts where I shared more details about them. In the caption I will also list which of the new products I tried out in these cards. And if you want to watch my haul from last month, you can find it here

Let me know if you like this feature and this is something you would like to see in future haul videos too!
