Ocean Themed Shadow Box Card Feat Lawn Fawn, Heffy Doodle and Studio Katia

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a super fun project I made combining the Lawn Fawn Shadow Box and Shadow Box Ocean Add-On dies with stamps by Heffy Doodle Stamps and Studio Katia.
The project didn't take too long and was super fun to make, it's definitely something to try!

As a first step I used my Lawn Fawn dies to cut some Strathmore Vellum cardstock and I added color to my die cut pieces using Distress Inks.
For the box I used Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean, for the ocean waves I used Chipped Sapphire, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers, and for the sand bank I used Antique Linen and Vintage Photo.

The ocean themed images come from the newly released Studio Katia Under the Sea stamp set, and these adorable mice are from the Heffy Doodle Stamps Hello Squeakheart stamp set. They were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock and colored with Spectrum Noir and Copic markers.

For the sentiment I used the banner die in the Lawn Fawn Shadow Box Ocean Add-on set, one of the sentiments in the Heffy Doodle Hello Squeakheart Stamp set, and Memento ink in Tuxedo Black and Love Letters.

I also shared a video tutorial showing how I created this shadox box card, you can watch it on my Youtube channel by clicking here.

And, if you like it, don't forget to let me know with a thumbs up and a comment, your feedback means a lot to me! Also, if you want to stay up to date with my videos, you can subscribe to my channel, I would love to connect with you over there too!

And that's it for today! This project will be my last entry in the #heffydoodlechallenge Summer Loving, which ends tomorrow. I had a blast creating summer themed cards with Heffy Doodle stamps and it's not unlikely at all that you will see more of them after the end of the challenge!

I will also enter this project in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge anything goes.

Before leaving I wanted to let you know that I will visit my family in Italy towards the end of June, which means I will be a bit less active on the cardmaking side of things. It will be especially challenging to publish videos...I will try to prepare something to keep the channel active, but I am not sure about how much I will be able to do. I will definitely be sharing card making inspiration on my blog and social media, so stay tuned for that!
Thank you all very much for stopping by today, have a great day!

Create a Beach Scene with Patterned Paper feat Heffy Doodle Stamps

Hi everyone! I am back today with another card I made for the Heffy Doodle Summer Loving challenge...I know, another one...but what can I do? This challenge is so fun! And I will tell you from now...I have another card ready to be shared with you later this week, which will also include a video tutorial! But for now let's focus on today's card!

This is a very quick one to make...a bit of coloring, some die cutting, and there you have it! And because of the sentiment this card is good for a variety of occasions too!
As a first step I stamped all my images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on some Neenah Solar White 100lb cardstock and colored them with my Spectrum Noir Markers. The cool croc and the sentiment come from the Heffy Doodle Happy Snappy Crocs stamp set, the sun glasses are part of the Create a Smile Stamps Dress Me Up stamp set, and the rest of the images are included in the Lawn Fawn Life is Good stamp set.
These were a lot of fun to color and I especially like the sun-burnt look I gave to the croc by adding some light pink-ish red to his cheek, belly, tail and muzzle. I hope you can tell from the picture. :)
I also added some Glossy Accents to the red part of the flip flops and the sun glasses.

I then used the Heffy Doodle Clover Frame Dies to cut all the elements. for my background.
The plaid patterned paper comes from the Lawn Fawn 6x6" Perfectly Plaid paper pack, and for the sand and the sky I used two of the papers in the Lawn Fawn 6x6"Watercolor Wishes collection.
I then sponged the edges of the sky panel with Distress Oxide in Broken China, and those of the sand with Distress Oxide in Vintage Photo to make my scene stand out against the somewhat busy background.

I glued all the elements together and raised the front panel with some foam tape to accent it even more. For the sentiment, also part of the Heffy Doodle Happy Snappy Crocs set, I used the Lawn Fawn Speech Bubbles dies and Memento ink in Tuxedo Black and Love Letters.

And that's my card for today. I have to say that I really love how this one turned out, it really makes me smile! And I hope it makes you smile too!
If you want to know more about the #heffydoodlechallenge  you can read this post on the Heffy Doodle blog.
I will be back soon with another fun project, and, in the meantime, I wish you all a great day!

Hawaii Inspired Summer Card feat Heffy Doodle Stamps

Hi everyone! Today I want to show you a card I made for the Heffy Doodle Stamps Summer Loving challenge, inspired to some views of Paia, Maui, that I had the opportunity to see during a trip to Hawaii a few years ago. Maui is such a beautiful island, and because it is so far from where I live I am not sure I will have the possibility to see it again, so I was happy to be able to recreate it on a card.
Plus, sometimes we do need to remind ourselves that, despite the obstacles, life is good :) And I hope this card serves as a reminder to those who might need it, including, at times, myself.

I used images from several different sets: the cute bear, who is the protagonist of today’s card, is one of the images from the Heffy Doodle Unbearable Without You stamp set. The surf boards and the Lei are from the Create a Smile Stamps Dress Me Up set, the fence is one of the images in the My Facebook Things Hog Heaven stamp set, and the sentiment and the palm trees come from the Lawn Fawn Life is Good stamp set.
All the images were stamped on Neenah Solar White 100 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Spectrum Noir markers.

For the wooden beams I used a fun technique that I learned from Gina K. As a first step I took some Bristol Vellum cardstock and die cut with the A2 stitched rectangle in the Heffy Doodle Clover Frames Dies. I then created score marks at regular intervals with my score board and finally I swiped my Distress Ink mini cubes on the panel, moving from the edges inwards, and following the direction of the score lines. I used Distress Inks in Tea Dye and Gathered Twigs and let the panel aside to dry.
For my sunset sky I used again Bristol Vellum and the Heffy Doodle Clover Frames dies, and I did some Ink blending using Distress Inks in Candied Apple, Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmelade and Mustard Seeds.
I adhered everything on a top-folding white A2 card base and that finished off my card.

As I mentioned at the beginning of this post I will be entering my project in the #heffydoodlechallenge Summer Loving. I am having so much fun creating summer themed cards with Heffy Doodle products, I will be definitely creating more even after the end of the challenge!
And that’s it for today! Thank you all so much for stopping by, and have a great day!

Celebration Card with (Mostly) Monochromatic Look feat Heffy Doodle Stamps

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a card and a video tutorial featuring products by Heffy Doodle Stamps and a die by My Favorite Things. This card has monochromatic feel thanks to the yellow and warm brown palette that I used on the card base, with the only exception being the little mice.
So let's dive into it and see how I created it.

The images I used come from the Heffy Doodle Stamps Hello Squeakheart stamp set. I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on some Neenah Solar White Cardstock and colored them with Spectrum Noir and Copic markers. I then fussy cut them all with my EK Success Cutterbee Scissors.

For my background I cut two panels out of some yellow and ochre cardstock using two of the dies in the Heffy Doodle Clover Frames set. I added some shading to the edges of the panels to give them some dimension. For the smaller one I used Distress Oxide in Wild Honey, and for the larger one I used Memento Dew Drops in Toffee Crunch and Distress Oxide in Wild Honey. I then used the small cheese slice stamp in the Hello Squeakheart stamp set to do some repeated stamping with Distress Oxide in Wild Honey and create my own patterned paper on the smaller panel.

For the sentiment I used the My Favorite Things Scripty Celebrate Die-Namics to cut some ochre and brown cardstock. I added some shading to the ochre die cut with Distress Oxide in Wild Honey and Memento Dew Drops in Toffee Crunch, and glued the two sentiments together, making sure to shift them with respect to each other, so that I would create a drop shadow effect.
I heat embossed one of the sentiments in the Hello Squeakheart Stamp set with white embossing powder on some more brown cardstock, and assembled the card front.

With two of the images that were left from the coloring I decorated the inside of the card, making sure I had enough space to write my own message to the recipient.

I also created a video tutorial for this card, you can watch it on my YouTube channel.

And that's it for today! I really hope you liked this card and I hope you enjoyed the video! If you did, you can let me know by leaving a comment or a like on my YouTube channel. White Embossing and Prismacolor of Kraft feat Create a Smile Stamps

Hi everyone! It’s time for a new challenge at the Create a Smile Stamps blog, and this one is all about saying thanks. We had some wonderful entries for the past challenge and can’t wait to see what you create for this one! You can play along to win 25€ to the Create a Smile Stamps store, all the information will be at the end of this post.

For today’s card I decided to go for a clean, rustic look, and to use the wonderful Clear Decorated Wishes  and the Clear Decorated Wishes mixed add-on stamp sets.

I heat embossed the images on some Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock that I had cut to a standard US A2 size with one of the dies in the Heffy Doodle Clover Frames dies. I used Versamark ink for the stamping and Ranger White embossing powder. I then colored the leaves with my Prismacolor Pencils.
To spice up this simple design I decided to create a shaker. I cut a window out of my front panel with one of the dies in the Tonic Studios Layering Circles die set, and for the shaker I used some seed beads by Studio Katia and some Pretty Pink Posh sequins

I also added a few sequins to the card front, and mounted everything on a top folding white A2 card base.
And that’s my card for today! Now it’s time for you to get creative with your Create a Smile Stamps products! (And if you don’t own any, check out the freebies on the Create a Smile stamps blog! You can use them for the challenges too!)
Remember to follow the challenge rules, listed below, in order to be eligible to win, and submit your projects on the Create a Smile Stamps blog for a chance to win a 25€ gift certificate to the Create a Smile Stamps store! We look forward to seeing your beautiful creations!

Suspended Shaker with Ranger Alcohol Ink Background feat Lawn Fawn

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a suspended shaker I created for the Lawn Fawnatics challenge using stamps from the Lawn Fawn Mermaid for You and Fintastic Friends stamp sets. I also took this as an opportunity to play around with my new Ranger Alcohol Inks and create an ocean background with them. Let me tell you...these guys are addictive! I used Yupo paper and played around with the Turquoise and the Pistachio inks, and when I was happy with my background I moved on to my card.

I stamped my images with Versafine Onyx Black Ink on some Bristol Vellum paper (this might be my new go-to with Zigs), embossed them with clear embossing powder and colored them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. For the seaweed and the coral, because these are solid stamps, I used respectively Memento Dew Drops in Pear Tart and Love Letters.
I then started building my shaker. For the base I used some teal blue cardstock from the Neenah Astrobrights collection that I cut at a standard A2 size. For the shaker front I used the Tonic Studios Layering Circles to cut both the shaker window and the frame. I then backed the shaker front with some clear acetate.

I used two layers of craft foam to create dimension on my shaker, and for the suspension mechanism I used some nylon thread. I first taped it to the back of my mermaid and then sandwiched it between the two layers of craft foam. Just make sure that the thread is somewhat loose inside the shaker, so that the mermaid can swing around.
I then added the images to the shaker background, threw in some iridescent and blue confetti for some added sparkle, and assembled the shaker.

I completed my scene with a few images from the Lawn Fawn Mermaid for You and Fintastic Friends sets, and for the sentiment I did some heat embossing with white embossing powder over the same teal blue cardstock that I used on my card base. To create the banner I used one of the dies in the Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling die set and the extended die cutting technique.

I also created a video tutorial for this card, you can watch it on my YouTube channel! If you did like the video you can tell me by leaving a comment or a like, and if you want to stay up to date with my content you can subscribe to my channel 😊 Thank you all for your support!

And that's it for today! I really hope you liked this card and enjoyed the video!
I will be back soon with another fun project and, in the meantime, I wish you all a great day!
